Scott Pearl
Scott Pearl is a Principal, having joined GIP in 2020. He focuses on the energy, electricity and renewables sectors and is based in New York.
Prior to joining GIP, Mr. Pearl was responsible for equity and credit investments in the Global Utilities, Industrials and Health Care sectors at Castle Hook Partners, a macro hedge fund. Mr. Pearl also managed Utility, Energy and Commodity equity and credit investments at Seneca Capital, an event-driven multi-strategy hedge fund. Mr. Pearl served as a Vice President in the Global Energy Group of Credit Suisse’s Investment Banking Division as well as a publishing Equity Research Analyst for Utilities. Mr. Pearl also served at an investment banker in the Global Power and Project Finance Groups at both Lehman Brothers and Chase Securities. Throughout his career, Mr. Pearl has served on the Board of Directors for several energy and infrastructure companies.
Mr. Pearl holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Joseph Wharton and Benjamin Franklin Scholar. Mr. Pearl previously has served as an Overseer for the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.
