Michael Kolodner
Mike leads Marsh’s US Power & Renewables Industry Practice and is a Member of Marsh’s Global Energy & Power Executive Committee with accountability for the largest and most diversified risk advisory and insurance brokerage practice in the United States, serving more than 270 individual clients and placing more premium than any other broker in the sector.
Mike brings over 20 years of operational, insurance and risk management advisory, brokerage and underwriting experience to Marsh. He is a former US Naval Nuclear Submarine Officer, Risk Manager for Exelon Corporation, Leader of Marsh’s US Nuclear Energy Practice, and served as member of the executive leadership team at Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited (NEIL), with accountability for all Underwriting (Nuclear and Non-Nuclear Risks, including Renewables), and Member Relations. He has extensive risk and insurance management experience across the breadth of the global power industry, and has served in a leadership capacity on the Insurance Advisory Committees of both commercial and industry mutual insurers. Additionally, he has served as a Non-Executive Director on the Board Solvency II compliant insurer and underwritten, or reinsured those who underwrite, power & utility property and liability risks from construction through decommissioning.
