Evelyn Carpenter

Evelyn Carpenter is cofounder, President, and CEO of Solas Energy® Consulting, a leading advisory firm for utility-scale renewable energy, battery energy storage, and climate change projects in North America.

Solas Energy provides technical and risk management solutions for complex renewable energy projects, including development services, Owner’s engineering, project and construction management, acquisition services, and operational compliance. Over the past 13 years, Solas Energy has expanded its team to support all commercial and near-commercial renewable energy generation production and storage technologies, as well as ESG, fleet decarbonization, sustainability and operations strategy support. To date, Solas Energy has consulted on more than 80GW of renewable energy projects across the US and Canada.

Ms. Carpenter’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Cal Poly and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of California. She also holds an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management. Ms. Carpenter is a licensed civil engineer (PE) in the state of California and has served on the Boards of Directors of both the American Wind Energy Association and the Colorado Solar and Storage Association.
